Shin Woo Seok’s Now Deleted Instagram Story

Music Video Director Of “Ditto” & “ETA” Has Refused To Work With The Group In The Future

On Monday, Shin Woo Seok, the music video director of NewJeans' hit songs "ETA" and "Ditto," issued a statement on his Instagram, announcing that he has decided to cease working with the group moving forward. The statement reads:

“Due to a request from ADOR to remove content, all NewJeans music videos and related videos uploaded by Dolphiners Film, as well as those scheduled for future upload, can no longer be made public.

The Dolphiners Film and Ban Heesoo YouTube channels primarily operate as archives of our portfolio, and they do not generate even a single penny of revenue. These videos and channels were created with the voluntary intention of producing good works for the fans, and Dolphiners Film does not profit from them. However, in accordance with ADOR's changed stance, all videos will be deleted and cannot be made public.

As of today, it seems that collaboration between Dolphiners Film and ADOR is no longer possible.

There were projects we had promised to work on with the NewJeans members in the future, but it is unfortunate that we cannot fulfill those promises.”

Shin Woo Seok had previously submitted a petition opposing Min's dismissal as ADOR's CEO back in May. These recent clashes with the label were initially speculated to stem from his support for Min Hee Jin.

However, on Tuesday, ADOR responded to the statement, claiming that they only requested the removal of the "ETA" music video director's cut, as it was causing conflicts with one of the sponsors. ADOR also stated that the company recently noticed several contract violations that were overlooked when Min Hee Jin was CEO, and the label's actions were taken to ensure the group's safety.

ENHYPEN’s Second World Tour Of The Year

Belift's boy group, ENHYPEN, concluded their approximately 25-stop FATE world tour in May 2024 and followed with a FATE+ encore in July. The relentless schedule seemed to have exhausted the members, especially Jay, who is currently taking a hiatus from group activities due to his knee injury.

After making their comeback last month and completing promotional activities, just as they finally got time to rest, Belift announced that ENHYPEN would embark on their new "Walk the Line" world tour starting in October.

While the entire schedule of the tour has not been shared yet, the announced stops are as follows:

  • October 05: Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium, Goyang, South Korea

  • October 06: Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium, Goyang, South Korea

  • November, 09: Belluna Dome, Saitama, Japan

  • November 10: Belluna Dome, Saitama, Japan

  • December, 28: Mizuho PayPay Dome, Fukuoka, Japan

  • December, 29: Mizuho PayPay Dome, Fukuoka, Japan

DAY6 “Band Aid” Concept Photo

DAY6 Breaking Records & Making History

Debuting in 2015, DAY6 — consisting of Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon — is a band that did not achieve overnight success. Due to a lack of promotions and resources from their label, followed by a three-year military hiatus, the band left their fans and the general public wondering about their future. However, After ending their military hiatus in May 2024, it seems they've returned stronger than ever, setting new records.

On September 3, DAY6 achieved a Real-Time All-Kill (RAK) for their song “Melt Down,” making it the second song of the year to do so. RAK occurs when a song reaches number one on all Korean iChart ( in real-time. This marks the band’s first-ever RAK in their 9-year career. Also, DAY6 also became the first-ever band to receive RAK in this decade, making the moment memorable, to say the least.

Then, on September 4, 2024, it was announced that the Korean band is going to hold a concert at Gocheok Sky Dome, making them the first Korean band ever to do so. The venue can hold up to 16,744 spectators for baseball games, but for concerts, the capacity increases to approximately 25,000.

The More You Know:

  • In May 2024, TWICE's label, JYP Entertainment, confirmed that TWICE member Dahyun had been cast in the Korean movie “You Are the Apple of My Eye”. Although the release date has not yet been announced, on September 3, JYP Entertainment shared the first trailer for the movie. Directed by Cho Youngmyoung, the movie is based on Giddens Ko's semi-autobiographical novel.

  • After SEVENTEEN's historic performance at Glastonbury this summer, the group will perform at yet another festival — Lollapalooza in Berlin tomorrow. Although the tickets are all sold out, on 9 September 2024 at 01:40 am KST SEVENTEEN’s Lollapalooza Berlin performance will be live-streamed on their official YouTube channel for international fans who are unable to attend. Don’t forget to tune in!

Our Favorite Songs From Last Week

DAY6’s 9th mini album “Band Aid”, written, composed, arranged, and performed by the band themselves, was undeniably one of the best releases of last week. Nearly every song from the album found its way onto our playlist. While the title track "Melt Down" proved its worth on the charts, our personal favorite was the b-side "Monster." The song touches on the feeling of not fitting in, with lyrics like, "I can only glimpse at happiness / I can’t even dream of it."

Every time we think summer is over, another girl group releases a bop that brings back the brightness of the summer sun. This time, that group is Loosemble, with the title track of their latest album, “TTYL”. The song doesn’t dive into deep or philosophical themes and is all about girly vibes. It’s infectious instrumental and the members' bright vocals will have you hooked in no time.

Lastly, it would be a crime not to include SHINee’s Onew’s 3rd mini album “FLOW” on this list. The album features six tracks, each offering something entirely unique. The standout for us was “Shape of My Heart,” a vocal-focused, melodious track that seeps into your soul. Another highlight is “All Day,” which pairs Onew’s signature melodious vocals with a faster tempo, synth elements, and heavenly harmonies in the chorus.
